How long pages last

Story pages, group pages and map listings are available only while the SCGardens Seeds of Kindness program operates. There is no promise of permanent hosting. Keep your own copies of messages, photos and videos.

Your sharing choices

Private pages are visible only through your editing session. Link-only pages can be opened by anyone who receives the story link. Public pages may appear in the gallery, map and group pages after review. Names and map pins are optional; a nickname is welcome. We save rounded map coordinates rather than exact coordinates.

Plant markers and shared links

Link-only and Public story pages are not password protected. Anyone who scans a plant marker set to show your story, or who has your story link, can view the whole page, including your name or nickname, dedication, message, photos, videos and the approximate location you share, and can pass the link on. Before sharing, you must confirm that you understand this; we record the date and the version of the notice you agreed to. You can switch sharing off or delete your page at any time, after which a scanned marker shows only a general Seeds of Kindness page. We cannot undo what others have already seen, saved or copied.

Your content

You retain ownership of your contributions and give the program permission to host and display them according to your visibility choice. You must have permission to upload other people’s images, including guardian permission for children. You may delete your page and media with your editing key. Removed content may remain in restricted backups until backup rotation. Review approval is withdrawn whenever a public story changes.

Gifting and sponsorship

Recipients have no obligation to share a story, photo or video. Anonymous gifting hides the sponsor’s identity from recipients and public pages; the program and payment processor still hold the information needed to handle payment and fulfilment. Kits funded, kits delivered and reported plantings are different measures.

Recurring gift and sponsorship plans renew at the agreed frequency until cancelled. Unallocated kits carry forward for future suitable recipients. Request cancellation before the next renewal through the billing portal. Contact the team about refunds or unallocated balances. Sponsorship is a product/service purchase; we do not promise a charitable tax receipt.

Plant responsibly

Use the labelled seeds only in a suitable region, garden or container and with the landowner’s permission. Growth varies with conditions and is not guaranteed. Seed mix and fulfilment details will be provided before purchase.

Personal information

We collect the details needed for activation, requests, billing and fulfilment. Request email addresses and billing information are not displayed publicly. Uploaded photos are re-encoded; avoid putting location details in videos or the visible content. We do not sell your personal information. Contact the team through the request form about access, removal or a concern with a public story.
